Look Who Came Through the Door Today (a day in May)

Bethia, a friendly acquaintance, and 2 friends came in the store wearing their helmets.  They may be in their sixties but they have bodies like girls of 14 (actually not so many girls of 14 are that lean and toned).  A testament to bicycling.  They’d just cycled around the reservoir–starting somewhere on the other side of Belleayre.  But this was a mini-trip for them: they’ve gone the length of the Erie Canal a few times. Other people who came in the door of our shop:  Starr Latronica, who always lifts my mood and probably the mood of everyone she encounters, from the Four County Library system in Binghamton meeting her friend from NYC as she does periodically.  They love to shop and eat in Andes–a good midway point for them;  a couple on the way to Hobart-William Smith in Geneva for graduation who decided to take a different turn and were glad they did;  a Dubben’s gas delivery guy looking for a hoodie (sorry to have failed him in his pursuit).~
